Choose them wisely.
Our actions shape our path and who we become. If we decide to eat healthily, we become healthier. If we choose to exercise, we become fitter. If we read regularly, we grow wiser.
Our heroes represent the ideals we aspire to live by. They’re the people we admire, look up to, and often try to emulate. When we behave as they would, we slowly become more like them.
I live by this principle and often reflect on situations through their perspectives.
When you choose a figure to look up to, you’re essentially choosing a version of yourself in the future. You’re picking the kind of person you want to become.
That’s why asking someone about their heroes is one of the best ways to understand who they are. It reveals their values, their ambitions, and the qualities they hope to embody.
The same idea applies to social media. The accounts you follow, the content you consume, and the people you engage with all shape your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.
Take a moment to reflect on who you spend time with, who you admire, and who you follow. Do they align with the person you want to become?
